Know your aviation Black History.  Learn the unknown or untold stories of the first African American stewardesses/flight attendant.  Our journey started in 1956 when Patricia Banks Edmiston, the first black women to apply for the position, Ms. Edmiston was hired on paper , when she showed up for the interview was denied because she was black, they informed her that they didn't have a position. Ms. Edmiston decided to fight for the right to be hired and took the airlines to court for discrimination and won!  This is the beginning of many stories of black pioneers in aviation.  My book, Stars in the Sky will tell you about the many unknown and untold stories of black pioneers in aviation. Stars in the Sky is available on Amazon, Kindle, Barnes & Noble.
