Welcome to The Fly Girl Show 2019.

This year it is my mission to extend the spectrum of topics and guest to be interviewed on the show.

January 3, 2019 was the official swearing-in of the 116th Congress.  The Congressional Black Caucus, which was established in 1971 and  their mission was "to ensure African Americans....have the opportunity to achieve the American dream" and the legislative priorities included reforming the Crimmal Justice system and combating voter suppression. In a private ceremony, (proud to say I attended)  which swore in its own group  of members, and was the largest in history,  55 new members!  

Some of the history makers you should follow are:  

#1  Ayanna Pressley,  the first Black Congresswomen of Massacusetts

#2  IIhan Omar,  a Somali American and The 1st Muslim Congresswomen from Minnesota

#3  Christine Hallquist, The first transgener, won as Governor of   Vermont

#4  Rep. Jared Polis  First openly gay Governor of Colorado

 History Makers pictured on intro. Congresswoman Marcia L.Fudge, serves on the House Committee on Education  and the Workforce.   New Congressional member Lucy McBath, for metro Atlanta 's 6th distric. Lucy is a friend and former Delta Flight Attendant, she is an  American gun advocate.   Speaker of theUnited  States  House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi,  she is the only female to have served as speaker, and also made history being elected the second time to hold this position.

This year in polictics is going to be very intersting- buckle up for this turbulant ride!
