Deborah James ~3rd Eye Theater's voyage of voice, verse and vision returns to the Black Rep where it first rocked the poetry world over a decade ago, next Thursday, December 8, 7 to 9pm with a red carpet reception, open house and open mic, to celebrate the first Bay Area Poets Appreciation Day!! 

In the spirit of the Occupy Movement we want your opinion and input on how local artists and the reemerging 3rd Eye Theater with live Poetry Slams, Poetic Performances, Improvisation, Skits and Lyrical Ensemble Theater.

Every Thursday beginning next year! 

You've heard of Def Comedy and Def Poetry? Well this is going is Def Theater!  A Saturday Night Live from a black perspective.

Calling All talented and dedicated poets, singers, dancers, musicians, performance artists, comedians, playwrights, actors, writers, youth, grants, air time, and lovers of the arts to Occupy the Black Rep for up to 52 weeks on stage and off! The Apollo west in our newly renovated theater 

Also mark your calender, the King of Comedy, Paul Mooney will be occupying the Black Rep for two weeks starting December 16th! We're going to turn the Occupy Movement into an artform - a work of art!
