Two extraordinary historian activists Dr.Leonard Jeffries and Attorney Michael Coard On The Gist of Freedom, in a discussion about their struggle to preserve American history through the inclusion of the african american experience.Dr.Jeffries endured public ridicule for a speech he gave regarding his struggle with the NY State curriculum committee. Attorney Coard succeeded in forcing the Museum, the Philadelphia's President's House , to include the  enslaved people who sucessfully escaped from Washington.Here are excerpts from Dr. Jeffries speech. And took Edison to court twice for stealing his patents and won.
