Photobucket My life has become woven into a tapestry of adventurous experiences. It was my grandfather who taught me that the way to live a rewarding life was by tasting, touching and experiencing to its fullest. I believe that it was that spirit of adventure that has prompted me to be a leader my whole life. For example, a number of years ago when I was a newly hired CEO for a business in Mexico, there were not many women in authority, especially American women. My work in Latin American tested the strength of my relationship with myself, my beliefs and my faith.Through that time working in Mexico, I learned to create and to navigate my own “personal map”. This map of my consciousness enabled me to be successful in a chaotic and unstructured landscape. Little did I know at that time that my ability to master the art of in finding my way in an uncharted world would serve me well in my future training as a shaman? When I returned to the United States, I decided embark on a new life journey to bring greater balance to my life. This journey led me to the path of apprenticing with the Peruvian mountain shaman. These mountain shaman who appear to lead very humble “third world” lives are, in many ways, very sophisticated in what they do and remarkable people. Apprenticing with them has been an honor. Learning their skills has been a gift in my life that I passionately want to pass on to others. My vision is to teach people to re-member how to use and engage their instincts and discover the power of knowing by using the same Tactile Learning teaching format that my mentors, the shaman of Peru, used to teach me.
