Jesus Suarez is a member of the Church of the Lucumi Baba-Lu-Aye since 1987; He dedicated his life towards being a driving force in the Lucumi Religion and Religious community since his consecration to Yemaya in 1983. He was one the founding members of the Dade County Gay and Lesbian Youth Group,and he has dedicated his life to defend the civil rights of the Lucumi faith, LGBTQQIA and is a Member of N.A.M.I. He along with his Family,have served the Lucumi throughout the entire Diaspora across the United States and Several Countries in the World [Including Cuba] along with numerous other Religious communities with religious Goods and services through their business “Botanica La Caridad,” that they have Run for well over 26 years in South Florida and continue to do so. This has allowed him to become familiar with and help serve the Ritualistic needs of the leaders and practitioners of various faiths, such as Vodou {Both Haitian and Cuban} Palo Mayombe, Candomble, Spiritism {Of Various Traditions} Hoodoo, Chango Baptist, Obeah, Cumina , and Just about every single Religion that is practiced throughout the world in South Florida and that is NOT an exaggeration.He has studied and practiced Christianity {of various Denominations}, Hinduism[Southern and Northern and Caribbean Type}and Islam[ Sunni and Sufi} and Maintains Lifelong bonds of Friendships with Various Practitioners of those Religious Traditions as well as with many who Practice Buddhism{ Tibetan, Korean and Japanese] and Judaism {Ashkenazi and Sephardic}.
