The institution of Slavery created the narrative of the African slave’s life in the diaspora. In quest for liberation, the story of life African took many forms. Music became one of the soundtracks of the African slave’s life in the diaspora. In the quest self-expression, the slave created what Bob Marley called “songs of freedom”. From resistance to redemption, from rebellion to liberation.
