Off to the Races: August 20, 2022

Off to the Races Radio powered by The Racing Biz returned Saturday, August 20 with an action-packed one hour program.

This week's show featured visits from trainer Michelle Lovell and Charles Town track announcer Paul Espinosa. Lovell, one of the leading trainers at Colonial Downs in 2021, recently made headlines when her trainee Damon's Mound easily won the Grade 2 Saratoga Special.

Espinosa, a Charles Town native and grandson of a trainer, will call that track's biggest day Friday. That's when Charles Town hosts the Grade 2 Charles Town Classic and Grade 3 Charles Town Oaks.

Also on the docket are Darrell Wood, talking about all things Virginia, and legendary horseplayer Derby Bill Watson.
