RFA Radio-Join me for my 3rd episode of Women of the Appalachian Mountains. Tonight I am joined by the beautiful Allison Mullins. Allison Mullins is a native of the Appalachian mountains of Southwest Virginia. Her curiosity and love of massage began at a very young age, giving backrubs and footrubs to her Mother and other family members and friends. After high school, Allison went on to graduate from nursing school, travel, and explore the world. Her travels led her to New Orleans, and eventually she made the move to the Big Easy. Feeling that her true calling was healing through bodywork and energywork, she left New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina and returned to Tennessee to heal in the mountains. A graduate of Reflections of Health School of Massage in Johnson City, Allison has been practicing in the Tri-Cities area since 2006. Allison specializes in traditional Swedish relaxation massage and Deep Tissue work, and the beautiful techniques of Hawaiian Lomi Lomi and Maya Abdominal Therapy™. Allison incorporates other methods of healing including: Reiki energy work, Shiatsu, aromatherapy, and reflexology. Drawing on her years of experience as a jazz and blues vocalist, she is exploring Sound as therapy with the use of tonal chakra balancing (vocal toning) and crystal singing bowls. In addition to her healing work, Allison serves the community as a Priestess of the Divine Feminine and is an ordained interfaith minister available for ceremony, rites of passage, weddings, and spiritual counseling. Allison is dedicated to providing intuitive and client-guided healing work in a beautiful, safe, and comfortable setting.
