Joining me tonight is Melissa Crow, Wiccan, shaman, author and graduate cum laude from the University of Southern California with a BA in Creative Writing and a Masters in Library Science from San Jose State University discussing her research examining the images and myths of our European ancestors with particular emphasis on how and when patriarchy came to be. We'll be "In Search of the Ancient Mother" tonight as we look at Goddess imagery and artifacts from the Neolithic to Classical eras, compare and interpret myths, and delve into why we have stories of rape, abduction and Goddesses who marry patriarchal Gods and become shadows of their former selves. And of course, we'll explain why this is all so important to reshaping our culture and creating a new normal out in the world.
