If you're a fan of Star Trek, you remember the Borg.  The Borg who assimilated everyone.  No one could think for themselves.  Everyone was a loyalist to The Queen. (Interesting how they made the Ultimate Evil a female!)  Their subject's brains were taken over and the conquered just became mindless robots for the Borg Collective.  Well, I see similarities in what's happening now.
