Crown of Pride begins our next segment in Isaiah's Prophetic Book part 61. When we talk of Pride, you can think of all those nations who fell in judgment. In addition, you can also read the words of the Apostles who warned us of Gods Judgments and the consequences. But it is also true, in Judgment you can find mercy. Today we look at those Kingdoms Isaiah is directly speaking to Ephraim and Judah. The major cities in those kingdoms being Samaria and Jerusalem; are affected to one degree or another. Here we also find the hand of God, and the truth of his rule with justice and mercy. All relates to our world today, especially at a time when governments of men challenge God on all fronts.

Crown of Pride and the associated troubles with it meet the final end in this segment. We look at Ephraim and Samaria known as Kingdom of Israel or northern tribes. At the same time we look at Jerusalem. While one aspect of Judgment on Israel destroys the northern Kingdom; Judah who was spared, still faces judgment for her own sins that the Prophet brings to light. The fact that in this we find both judgment and Gods mercy coming into the work. While we see the God of nations and his judgments moving and effecting the nations, it is also true; they are helpless to avoid the judgment. Pride here is worn as a crown, but even it makes it all worse. What is needed is humility and repentance, with obedience to Gods will.
