Christ's Cross this week brings our Gospel Advocacy in line with Persecution amidst a sinful generation of people. The nations of men disregard the apostle's warnings as well as, the Lord's own words here. The good news of the Gospel and the sacrifice of Jesus, Yeshua on the cross is indeed redemptive and redeeming. The more you ignore it and the warnings of scripture the danger increases for you. The other aspect is the sinful Generation that cries out to you to join them in the dark and sinful deeds they enjoy. These love darkness more than the light of the Gospel. Much to the chagrin of darkness, many former students of the devil and his ways have repented and graduated to the Light and the gospel of Christ Jesus.

Christ's Cross has always met with resistance. The ways of the world  are dark. It is as the Lord said in Mark chapter eight and verses thirty-four to thirty-eight which addresses discipleship in direct relation to the world. Christ warned "whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed." In this context will also find "Come after me" and "lose his life for my sake and the gospels shall save it" bring a straightforward context of the cost of following Christ. There is a cost.
