MOMEDY PLUS MAMAPOLOZZA FESTIVAL 2012

The 9th Annual  MAMAPALOOZA CELEBRATES WOMEN, MOTHERS AND FAMILIES In NYC Bands with Moms Who Rock, Dads Who Rock and a variety of activities and information for women, mothers, families and the ones who love them will highlight Mamapalooza 2012, on Sunday, May 20, from 11 to 5 p.m., at Riverside Park South (On the Pier in front of Trump Tower at W. 68th St and the Hudson River). Admission is free. A music, arts and health festival Mamapalooza offers a day of music and entertainment, fitness activities Created by Joy Rose, Mamapalooza began on a single stage in Manhattan at the now defunct Cutting Room with seven acts and 75 people in the audience. In 2004 it moved to Riverside Park South, and began a fruitful, amazing relationship with NY Parks Dept. During the past 10 years we've preformed on literally hundreds of stages, in clubs, parks, downtown districts, festivals and farms around the world. In 2005, CNN, Good Morning America, People Magazine, BBC, Chicago Tribune, NPR and so many more media outlets highlighted stories on the women who believed that Moms really do ROCK! The intention of Mamapalooza is to provide opportunities for women artists and small business owners to interface with families, while accessing family services, free activities and fitness, all while celebrating our beautiful U.S. parks systems.
