Alison Grambs is a humor writer and the author of: The Man Translator: Your Essential Guide To Manland;  The Smart Girl’s Guide To Getting Even;  Totally Silly Jokes; Nutty Names Knock Knocks; Hilarious Halloween Jokes; and Crazy Christmas Jokes.  She would like to say she’s climbed Mount Everest, but that would be a lie.  As a homely pre-teen, she played the role of “Pepper” in the 2nd National Tour of Annie and, disturbingly, still remembers all the songs and choreography from the show.  She attended Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts (a.k.a the Fame school) where she spent four years as a Drama major, rolling around the floor in a leotard and tights, trying to speak like Katharine Hepburn.  From there, she miraculously graduated Haverford College with a degree in English Literature, and returned to Manhattan where she joined the National Touring company of the Off-B’way comedy improvisation show, Chicago City Limits.   When not working on one of the three novels she’ll never finish, she can be seen fighting with the copy machine at the Friars Club where she works as a staff writer, producer and the Director of Membership.  She lives in New York City with her husband, a professional protector of doughnuts, an oddly-shaped Yorkie, and a camouflage sidecar motorcycle that sounds like a lawn mower.
