DTFW Features Friday Night Joy Episode with Guest Sister Trenita Thomas delivering the message "Love Notes"

Sister Trenita Thomas was born and raised in Washington D.C. and although she was raised in the church, she did not accept and receive Jesus as her personal Lord and Savior until the age of 32.  Since that time, Trenita has gone on to serve the Lord in many capacities, ministering through song in the choir, sharing/singing/praying at various nursing homes as well as a Women’s shelter in D.C.   In addition, Trenita serves a Women’s group called S.W.A.G. (Sister’s With A Glow) that was formed in September of 2011.  The name was inspired by Exodus 34:29 (The Message version)..."When Moses came down from Mount Sinai carrying the two Tablets of The Testimony, he didn't know that the skin of his face glowed because he had been speaking with God..." The group meets on Tuesday nights and it has been instrumental in bringing healing to Women, married and single alike. To God be all the Glory. Part of the mission statement reads “Sisters helping Sisters grow in grace, love, and the knowledge of Christ.”  Trenita is a member of Remnant Ministries where the Pastor is Gary Thomas who just happens to be her Dad. Trenita has one adult daughter,Tynisha Pope.  She is on a single journey with the Lord at this time which she has found to be extremely rewarding, dedicating this time to falling more in love with Jesus, and as she likes to say "basking in the SONshine"!
