Mayra Betances Needs Help to Create Happy Moments for Kids in Dominican Republic

Mayra Betances is the founder of D&E Papel a Stationary, Invitation Company. A lover of all things creative and beautiful, Mayra is also an art and lifestyle blogger which she publishes weekly on dandepapel.com founded in 2008. Mayra has designed and worked with many brides, moms and early this year was chosen to design the invitations for BELLA New York Magazine White Party hosted by Lisa Vanderpump. Originally from the Dominican Republic, she came to the U.S in her teens, and as a way of giving back in 2010 she founded a Non-Profit organization and named it Create Happy Moments which mission is to educate unprivileged children in the Dominican Republic through cultural exchange. The project collects used/new children’s costumes to ship overseas for the country’s Independence Day and Carnival festivities which is held every February 27th; it is the cultural tradition to dress up in costumes and parade throughout cities, neighborhoods and villages in chant to celebrate this Holiday; in turn the children in the U.S will make use of their Halloween costumes for a rewarding and good cause and learn about how their deed makes a difference in other children through culture in a happy way. This years collection of costumes is set to ship overseas on December 20th, 2015, so we need you now!
