A lifelong Arkansan from Bismarck, Arkansas, Karye Brockert is an advocate for students with special needs. 

A transformative moment came when her daughter Madison was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, inspiring me to focus on teaching students with disabilities. Karye joined Bryant School District as a special educator and later became a private consultant for special education programs statewide.

In 2018, Karye became the director of EasterSeals Academy, a private K-12 school in Little Rock for students with special needs, which has since seen significant growth.
