Many of us get up on Sunday mornings, have a cup of coffee or breakfast, get dressed and we drive off to church without the worry of our neighbors informing the authorities to have us arrested for attending church. Now, that might sound ridiculous or even a little humorous.
But in India informants are a serious concern because Christians worry that informants may be living in their villages.
Informants belong to a number of Hindu nationalist organizations, and they do live in nearly every village in India. They watch for and report on the activities of Christians resulting in brutal attacks on Christians by huge groups of Hindus.
You can see why the Christian in India expresses worry about this kind of activity. To their point, when Christians are attacked, many of them decline to press charges because they see it as a way of showing forgiveness to their attackers.
