Happy Mother's Day!

Dr. Julie Poehlmann is a clinical psychologist, professor at the University of Wisconsin, and a nationally and internationally recognized scholar on children with incarcerated parents.  A growing number of children experience the incarceration of their mother. In most cases, grandparents provide care for their grandchildren during maternal incarceration. Dr. Poehlmann will discuss risks and resilience for the children, mothers, and grandparents in these situations.

Also, Jennifer Puac is a Master's student at Columbia University, she works at the College of Mt St Vincent in the Bronx, and is a member of the Immigration Committee at the College.  Jenn is also a volunteer with the non-profit group, The Afya Foundation, located in Bronx, NY and founded by CEO Danielle Butin, which sends medical supplies to countries in crisis. Currently, Ukraine is where they are sending supplies.  Jenn will let us know how we can help in Ukraine and the benefits of volunteering.

Finally Minerva and Ruben will take us to another magical place in Mexico
