David James Brinston has been writing, producing, and performing Blues and Southern Soul for more than 25 years in the blues/southern soul genre. David is a Grammy Nominated American Recording Artist who has made significant contributions to Soul and Blues music internationally.
  1992 He recorded “Hit and Run” David’s first Album and “Slow Down from the Run Around.” In 1993 He recorded “Two Way Love Affair “his biggest hit and still today is one of his most requested songs. David Brinston released "Poundtown” in April 2022 and in 2023 has two hot new singles climbing up the charts. They are “A Woman in Love and “If It Ain’t Broke Don’t Fix It. David tours and headlines numerous events including numerous "big stages" in Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Texas, and many other venues across the country.
The Mississippi State Legislature enacted legislation to establish historical markers across the state to recognize blues artists from Mississippi who have made significant contributions to Southern Soul "Blues" music. In 2010, David was recognized by the Mississippi Blues Commission with the placement of a historical marker in his hometown of Clarksdale, MS; shared with the late, great Mr. Sam Cooke. David has performed on shows with Millie Jackson, Dorothy Moore, William Bell, Tyrone Davis, Johnny Taylor, Freddy Jackson, Clarence Carter, Peggy Scott, and many others. David is a writer and top-of-the-charts maker with great singing creditably and more than fifteen Albums.
 At present, David now has his own Limited Liability Corporation and is recording with Delta Down, LLC (also known as David Brinston Enterprises).“If It Ain’t Broke, Don’t Fix It” is a rating grabber! It is an upbeat, dance tune that tells a story about relationships, love, and keeping the family
together.
