The Pleasure Principle is defined as, “the instinctive drive to seek pleasure and avoid pain, expressed by the id as the basic motivating force that reduces psychic tension.”  In this day and age where base, animal lust is considered the norm, is the Pleasure Principle still relevant?  A better question; who’s making love these days?  Making love, involves a deep, passionate intimacy that goes well beyond sex.  It’s about receiving pleasure through giving it.  The pleasure principle soars to heights where basic lust cannot reach.  Today, there’s a disconnection between Indigenous Negro Indians, sexually speaking.  Due to a lack of person to person familiarity through learning each other, the Pleasure Principle is fast becoming a lost art, giving way to sexual behavior that’s more ographic than loving.
