A conversation with Mark and Heather Lojeski about Faith, Hope and Love Bags.
To build Faith, Hope, & Love in the children of Racine County who have been abused, abandoned, and neglected; through duffel bags containing personal care and comfort items they can call their own. Unfortunately most come with very little belongings besides the clothes on their backs. If they have a few items, they are typically transported in a trash bag. What ever these children have left of their self-worth should not be carried in a garbage bag; they deserve better!
Our second guest is Elizabeth Davis who currently assists in the "People Loving People Mapping Project", inspired by Garth Brooks’ new song, “People Loving People”. The Georgia Geographic Alliance mapping team wants to know how kind and interconnected the world really is, therefore, we provided a map for people to map their kindness. This is a crowd-sourced map allowing people to view and locate kindness in their life. Anyone in the world can go to www.peoplelovingpeople.org and describe an act of kindness and place a point on the map where the kindness occurred.
The goal of this map is to promote kindness and geographic education. Teachers can use the map to promote kindness in their classrooms. In addition, mapping kindness gives students more exposure to maps.
