This Wednesday on A Kind Voice on Music we talk with singer/songwriter and storyteller George Schricker about a career spanning decades - both for himself and for his audiences. George has presented his storytelling method in 48 different artist residencies, and spent twenty years performing for children in schools accross the country. His efforts culminated in a children's album, George's Brother, whose song "Archaeopteryx" was even nominated for Children's Song of the Year.
George has since returned to writing and playing for primarily adult audiences, with album releases in 2010 (Back on Track) and 2012. "Losing Track of Time", one of the songs on Back on Track, received notable mention in The New York Times and significant airplay in our fair state of Indiana. In tonight's episode we listen to several tracks from his latest album, Precious Time, and talk about George's band, event center, and love of songwriting.
