A Kind Voice on Good News

   This Monday night's Good News show will feature Leslie & Michael sharing more inspirational stories like One Life Lost, Another Saved: In Rare Moment, Lung Transplant Recipient Meets Donor's Mother and many more. They will also have the extreme pleasure of a 2 part interview with Alexa Tkawpa, a native New Yorker who now resides in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Upon visiting Thailand a few years ago, she bore witness to a young refugee girl being sold before her very eyes which prompted her to do something. Since then, she has helped support Daughters Rising, a nonprofit organization that works to prevent sex trafficking by empowering at-risk girls. Coincidentally, she is next to an elephant farm where elephants are used for rides and tourist attractions in very inhumane ways.  After seeing how the elephants were being treated she created the The Chai Lai Orchid Nature Bungalows that works to promote sustainable tourism, kindness to elephants and help at-risk women take the first step to get out of poverty and see a future of hope.
