On tonight's show Erin Rae will share some of her thoughts on the role communities and friendships play in ficiton, specifically realistic fiction which allows for fantastic elements. Erin Rae will discuss Lewis Carroll's 'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland' and Alice's Through the Looking-Glass', Francess Hodgson Burnett's 'A Little Princess', and a book which we've spoken about previously on this show, Michael Woolley's 'Checkmate'. By examining the friendships and communities in each of these stories, Erin Rae hopes to get a better understanding of the importance of having a personal community to lean on during times of strife and stress. If you have any thoughts or ideas to add to our conversation, please call in to 347-850-8907 at 7:00PM, EST, and share them with Erin Rae. She would love to hear your input, so we hope you can join us!
