When embarking on an adoption journey, it is important to begin with accurate and current information about the adoption process.  It is also important to be flexible in thinking, expect changes and have the ability to adjust your expectations.

Some Expectations that some Adoptive Families may have:

• Birth Mothers will attend every OBGYN appointments
• Birth Mothers will want constant communication
• Birth Mothers will be forthright and candid about every aspect of their lvies
• Birth Mothers will disclose any and all drug use
• An adoption agency can control a birth mother 
• An adoption agency has a crystal ball
• The Adoption Entity can control the adoption outcome

The abiltiy to adjust expectations and understand the importance of  the concept of mindfullness will help create a happier, more fulfilling and joyful adoption experience.
