It is a special weekend edition of the Bedford & Sullivan research process, as we welcome back retired SF State Lecturer Svein Arber to the program.
Svein, along with co-writer Ford Hovis, wrote a novel in the 1970's under the pen name "Damon Rice" titled "Seasons Past." The book details the lives of three generations of the Rice family as they make their way through New York baseball history, from the late-1850's through the Dodgers and Giants exit.
There is so much to cover, so on this episode, we will start with the first generation of Fletcher Rice, as he gets entangled in the black mark of the early part of baseball's history: gambling.
So, join us at 12PM ET for the latest edition of the Bedford & Sullivan podcast!
