With an interest to identify alternative treatments against killer bacteria, researchers at Johns Hopkins screened a panel of 34 essential oils and found oregano oil, cinnamon oil, and oil of clove as having even better anti-microbial activity against the Lyme bacteria that than the traditional antibiotic medication daptomycin, an expensive, intravenous antibiotic used for persistent infections
