Ray Charles Robinson, Jr., talks to Deardra Shuler about his book “You Don’t Know Me: Reflection of my Father, Ray Charles" a book that gives an intimate portrait of Ray Charles, his life and his family. Ray Charles Robinson, Jr. is the oldest son of music icon Ray Charles Robinson and Della B. Robinson. An alumnus of Whittier College and member of the Lancer Society of Whittier College. Ray is an independent film producer and author. He co-executive produced Ray Charles: 50 Years of Music with executive producer Greg Willenborg; co-produced concert DVD, Christmas Jubilee / Ray Charles with the Voices of Jubilation with executive producer Stuart Benjamin; produced and appeared in Black Prince, a Grand Jury Prize award winner of the New York International Independent Film Festival in 2005. He is the author and winner of the 2011 NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Literary Work “You Don’t Know Me: Reflection of my Father Ray Charles Bio / Auto – Biography. Mr. Robinson is the founder of the Ray Charles Jr Foundation for America.
