Host Dr. Kanya Vashon McGhee features "The Tree of Life" Show on the Blakeradio Network.  The show which airs every Thursday from 9:00 to 10:00 pm, addresses spirituality and the forms it takes.  Dr. Kanya will also invite an occasional guest or guests to talk about their experiences. This week's show topic is about health.  Dr. Imani Ma'at is the CEO of Y.E.S. 4 Health.  She is an Ed.D, M.ed, MCP, health educator and behaviorial scientist who worked for the Center for Disease Control and Prevention for 22 years, specializing in community and international health, HIV/AIDS and chronic disease.  She is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Masters of Public Health Program of Morehouse School of Medicine.  She participated in data collection for a study which assisted the Colorectal Cancer screening habits of African Americans in Georgia, aimed at reducing the impact of health disparities on communities of color.  Her 2 books are entitled "Promoting Healthy Knowledge, Attitudes and Behaviors Among Youth Using Heiku and Creative Expression: A Training Manual for Mentors" and "Healthy Haiku Poetry Using Creative Expression to Transform Youth."  She merged the Y.E.S. 4 Health Teen Theater Program and the Health Haiku Workshops which empower youth and train peer educators through theatre, poety, music and the spoken word. Dr. Ma'at holds degrees from Mount Holyoke, M.I.T., Harvard and Columbia University
