Deardra Shuler interviews LJ Waiters lead singer of the Legendary Intruders and Lee Bradley, owner of the Legendary Intruders as well as a tenor in the group. Other members are Holland McKenzie (Baritone) and Jubar Jones (tenor).
The Legendary Intruders are an off-shoot of the original Intruders with Fred Daughtery bringing in his cousin Lee Bradley and then from there the second group branched off into the Legendary Intruders. They continue to sing "Together," "I'll Always Love My Mama" and "I Wanna Know Your Name."
LJ is the third cousin of James Brown, the nephew of Bill Pinkney of The Drifters and recently learned he is related to Gladys Knight. Little Johnny Waiters (LJ) opened shows for Solomon Burke, Ohio Players, Clarence Carter, Junior Walker and the All Stars, Freddie Scott, Millie Jackson, Shirley and the Shirelles, Lloyd Price, etc.
The Legendary Intruders shared the stage with The Stylistics, Cuba Gooding, The Delfonics, Peaches and Herb, Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes, The Temptations, Full Force, Dennis Edwards, Melis'a Morgan, Black Ivory, Ray Goodman and Brown and Blue Magic, et al.
