Host Deardra Shuler talks with Andrea Holley, the Deputy Dir. of the Human Rights Watch Film Festival regarding the 2013 Human Rights Watch Film Festival taking place at the Film Society of Lincoln Center, located at 144 West 65th St. in NYC, & IFC Center, 323 Sixth Ave. (at West 3rd St.) from June 13-June 23rd. The Benefit Screening and Opening Night film will be shown at the Film Society of Lincoln Center’s Walter Reade Theater, at 165 W. 65th St., NYC.
Andrea Holley has worked with the Human Rights Watch Film Festival since 1999 and is the former Dir. of Publications of health and human rights. She has worked in Africa, Eastern Europe and the Middle East.
Our second guest Jeremy Teicher is a Student Academy Award-nominated director as well as editor, whose film short This is Us (2010) premiered at the American Embassy in Dakar. He presents the film Tall as the Baobab Tree to the Festival."
