Guest:  Dr. Andrea Y. Simpson, College Professor, Researcher, Scholar, Historian

Dr. Simpson, a renowned scholar and academic,  will discuss the activism that Black women engage in without recognition or credit. She will discuss the unsung Black women leaders of the Civil Rights Movement and beyond.  Later, she will  discuss  the women she has studied in the environmental justice movement.  Then, the discussion will  move to  highlight the women whom we both knew in Memphis, Tennessee,  who did not receive the acknowledgement they deserved as they labored in the background.
