Sandra Bland story has become the foundation for the "Black Lives Matter" protest against Democratic presidential hopeful Martin O'Malley at Netroots Nation last weekend. They also protested Bernie Sanders' Netroots session.  As the former Mayor of Baltimore, a city with a long history of strong arm police tactics against the Black community, O'Malley was a logical target for the group, but the Governor of Maryland was prime protest target. The protesters also hit Sanders for speaking about class-oriented economic inequality, but not specifically enough about black inequality.
