BLACK FATHERS MATTER ‘Black Fathers Matter because Black Family Matters’ Black Fathers Matter, BFM was created with the sole mission to change the negative perception of black fathers in America, one small step at a time. BFM provides opportunities for fathers to be fathers and not only to their own children but children in the community through mentoring. The goal is to foster positive father/child relationship, boost the importance of education, promote healthy habits and uplift our communities. BFM is dedicated to supporting the community. The first free event June 16, 2015 with over 100 participants included giveaways, food, activities for kids and performances by local talent. As the organization grows so will our events. Future endeavors will include father & child outings, school supply drive, support groups for fathers and many other things. BFM will continue to host community events that everyone can benefit from and enjoy. Black Fathers Matter because Black Family Matters.
