Marvelous Monday with Dr. Shirley McKellar and Bishop L.J. Guillory is always the way to start the week! Tonight we are joined by Ambra Phillips of Tyler United, who has issued a call to action to stop Black on black violence in Tyler, Texas and nation wide!  The African American community is rapidly losing boys and men to the prison system and violence. Tyler United, a non-profit organization, is hosting “State of Emergency”, Stop The Violence Summit on 1/16/16 from 1-3pm at the Glass Recreation Center in Tyler, Texas.  In wake of the Black Lives Matter Movement, Tyler United is challenging African Americans to be accountable for their own lives and prove that Black Lives REALLY DO Matter by accepting a call to action to stop Black on Black violence. There will be a panel of speakers who have been incarcerated, experienced life as gang members, and drug dealers, but decided to change their lives for the better. They are now dedicated to “Paying it forward”, by sharing their experiences with hopes to prevent as many young people as they can from making the same mistakes. Join us LIVE Tonight on BlogTalkUSA!
