The Making of a Slave – Progression or Regression

The Willie Lynch document of 1712 was written to introduce to slave owners a method of solving their problems with their slaves. Lynch went on to advise that if implemented, his plan would control the slaves for at least 300 hundred years.  Lynch believed that after receiving, this indoctrination shall carry on and will become SELF-GENERATING by the slaves for hundreds of years.  This year 2012 marks the end of the 300 year Lynch cycle. With the recent celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King’s legacy, how many of us really understand his timeless message in contrast with Willie Lynch’s prediction of self generating hatred? Where does the dream end and the nightmare begin?  Tonight is about coming together as one in honesty about slavery and the effect of slavery then and now.  Slavery had a major effect on the African American race as well as the Human Race.  Tune in Monday January 23 at 8 PM CST as we explore the making of a slave. This will be the first series of discussion analyzing not only the content of the Lynch letter but how its implementation still affects us today.
