Grumbling and Complaining Complaining is ADDICTIVE -
The more you DO IT; the more IT becomes a deep-rooted habit. If you don’t believe it TAKE THE TEST! Count how many times you complain in a day, rather it is from any of the following:
I don’t want to get up today vs. I am thankful for another day.
I don’t want to go to work today vs. I am thankful for a JOB.
I am so sick of being stuck in traffic vs. I am thankful for a car
I am so sick of this rain vs. I hope there is a rainbow to follow
Get the idea! A complaining spirit arrives from unfulfilled desires, which lead to envy and strife. James: 4:1-3 what causes quarrels and what causes fights among you? Is it not that your passions are at war within you? You desire and do not have, so you murder. You covet and cannot obtain, so you fight and quarrel. You do not have, because you do not have because you ask wrongly to spend it on your OWN PASSIONS. 1 Peter 2:11 Beloved, I urge you as sojourners and exiles to abstain from the passions of the flesh, which wage war against your soul.
