YOUR NEED TO BE ENTERTAINED in the eyes of many is viewed as an addictive but legal drug that keeps most of society on a superficial high. It is said that the more entertained one is or the more one feels the need to be entertained, the less thinking he/she does.
Americans are seen as the most entertained but the least educated people. On a previous Butterfly Evolution show, Greg Whittaker, one of our most powerful guests asked a very important question
“Why do people need to be entertained?” –
The world is constantly entertaining us through television, social media, i-pods and i-pads, smart phones and much more. Most people spend every hour being entertained. Dr. Winter in his book “Still Bored In A Culture Of Entertainment” says the average person has 33,000 of leisure hours than a person in the mid-1800’s. But back to the question..... “Why do we constantly need to be entertained?”
How or does entertainment affect us emotionally, financially and/or socially? How does excessive ENTERTAINMENT affect the youth?
