IBM Raising Cyber Security AlertCon to Level 2
Earlier today (3/16/2012) IBM's X-Force Security Research Team raised the Cyber Security Threat Level to AlertCon 2 based on newly published vunerabilities to Microsoft Remote Desktop. In this podcast we talk directly with Shane Garrett from the IBM X-Force Research Team to better understand the issue and the need for "increased vigilance" over the next few days.

Considering the wide use of Microsoft Remote Desktop in the industry today and the publication of a denial of service (DoS) proof of concept (PoC) code to public exploit sites, IBM is raising the Cyber Threat level to AlertCon 2 in order to increase public awareness of the MS12-020 vulnerability (CVE-2012-0002). AlertCon Level 2 signifies "increased vigilance. Vulnerabilities or threats to computer networks require vulnerability assessment and corrective action."
