January, the first month of 2024 has passed the halfway mark. The time is rolling on and doing so rapidly but there is still time to celebrate particularly the fans who celebrate birthdays and anniversaries. The Caribbean Global Voices will be here to celebrate with you on the Saturday Morning Entertainment Show. It's cold and snowy in some parts but we always have sunshine here. As we celebrate we will yet have time for a conversation. So Let's talk..

On Monday January 15, Americans celebrate Martin Luther King's birthday. Martin Luther King is best known for his campaign against the racist practices and policies of the United States. He was beaten and imprisoned for his activities. It is quite interesting to hear white politicians like Kevin McCarthy who openly demonstrste their racist disposition, make reference to Dr. Martin Luther King to complain that efforts like Diversity, Equality and Inclusion policies go against the Martin Luther King's message of not judging people by the colour of their skin. And then therre is Nickki Haley who insist that America was never a racist country. Do these people understand racism and how it operates? What is your understanding of racism? How would you define it? Would you say that America is a racist society? Come on in, join the conversation or tell us what you want to talk about. We'll be happy to hear from you.
