We are in to the first month of the second half of the year. Yes, it's JULY, JULY, JULY. And the celebration continues as we convey loud and joyous greetings to all those who have something to celebrate in July. In the meantime we must have a conversation. So Let's talk.

The first grand celebration begins with July 4th when Americans celebrated their independence. However on July 5th, 1852 the great scholar and orator, Frederick Douglas, delivered an address in which he admonished that July 4th did not give Black people in the United States any cause for celebration. Is Frederick Douglas' advice still relevant today? 

Over there in the U.K. the Labour Party is celebrating as they have returned to power with what is being called a land slide victory. How does this affect their relationship with the rest of Europe where right wing parties are progressively scoring major victories?
