Our guest is Noah Jemisin, Author of Buried Treasure: The Story of the First African Americans in New York.  

Noah Jemisin -- Artist, professor, world traveler, and inquisitive best describe Noah Jemisin. He studied fine arts at the University of Iowa, earning MA and MFA degrees. He has taught at the University level for many years. His works are included in a number of public and private collections throughout the US and the world, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, NYC and the Montclair Museum, NJ.

Buried Treasure is the conception of New York-based artist Noah Jemisin, who was inspired by the discovery of a forgotten burial ground. An art book in story form and tells the story of New York’s first African-Americans.

The book is the first of JAM. Graphics & Publishing’s non-comic publications.
