The host, Camille, and Arden chat over coffee about an important topic called Lymphedema and want to raise awareness. Arden Shawn is from Livingston, New Jersey, and is currently residing in Kern county, California. The points of our discussion will cover breast cancer, Lymphedema, The Lymphedema Treatment Act, and The Bakersfield Lymphedema Support Group (BLSG) will be available on Zoom on October 7, 2022, from 7:00 pm- 8:00 pm, every Friday for people who are homebound (give an estimated date support group). What is lymphedema? (lim-fa-dee-ma) Lymphedema is a chronic swelling (edema) caused by a buildup of fluid (lymph) that occurs when the lymphatic system is either faulty or damaged. There is no cure for lymphedema, but it can be effectively treated.
