This weeks’ Cosmic Citizen BlogTalkRadio program will be a lively discussion about emerging Christianity, with guests Pamela Chaddock and Steve Knight.  Both are actively engaged in the dynamic discourse in diversity of thinking that is such an important part of this new movement in theology.  They both attended an Emergent Village Gathering recently near Santa Fe, NM as well as the SOULARIZE event in San Diego last week.  They will share their experience of what these events have to offer, as well as their own personal spiritual journeys. The phone line will be open to other callers who attended one or both of these happenings or other Emergent events.

In English, the word “emergent” is normally an adjective meaning coming into view, arising from, occurring unexpectedly, requiring immediate action (hence its relation to “emergency”), characterized by evolutionary emergence, or crossing a boundary (as between water and air). All of these meanings resonate with the spirit and vision of the Emergent Movement.

Emergents are on the move, waking up as it were, to herald the next great reformation of Christianity. Many are young, under 40, and searching for new life and new meaning within their faith. Please join us this week to explore this fascinating and progressive spiritual phenomenon.

The Cosmic Citizen is a show for forward looking religionists and spiritual people who are ready to find a spirituality worthy of an age of science and enlightenment.  Our hosts, Paula Thompson and Christilyn Biek-Larson, are both Interfaith Ministers who interview guests on topics related to modern and progressive spiritual growth and religious interests. We embrace diversity, intelligent dialogue and a willingness to serve.

The show runs Saturdays from 12 to 2 pm Eastern Time and the phone number is (646) 716-8158.
