MELCHIZEDEK - King of Salem - Earth's Hero for 200,000 Years! Part 3: Covenant

This Saturday we continue our intriguing study on Machiventa Melchizedek. Last time, Brother Joshua led us in an in-depth study about the religion of simple faith, the "Salem religion," initiated by Melchizedek and the selection of Abraham--a "behind the scenes" look. He will join us again this week along with the same cast of cosmic thinkers!

Melchizedek is counted in the Bible, Hebrews 7:3, as one, "Without father or mother or genealogy, without beginning of days or end of life, like the Son of God, he remains a priest for all time." Urantia Papers 93-98 are devoted to Melchizedek with Papers 96 and 97 treating the Hebrew religion's evolution--the world religion most heavily influenced, at least initiated, by his teachings.

This week we consider the "covenant of Melchizedek with Abraham [which] represents the great Urantian agreement between divinity and humanity whereby God agrees to do everything; man only agrees to believe God’s promises and follow his instructions."  

We will follow this with a study of the "Salem" or "Melchizedek missionaries" and their work almost 4,000 years ago that prepared the way for the the Hebrew prophets, the teachers of the 6th century B.C., and the bestowal of Christ Michael to our benighted world.                 

He departed after 94 years of teaching and we look at his work here in-depth.
