The Lucifer Rebellion Part 1

This week we start our study of The Lucifer Rebellion and the interesting repercussions of this horrible tragedy. “How are you fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How are you cast down, you who dared to confuse the worlds!” The Lucifer Rebellion was the fulcrum for the Caligastia betrayal and the subsequent quarantine of Planet #606 of Satania aka Urantia aka Earth. Many things on this planet still carry the mark of the rebellion. (53:5.5) The Lucifer emblem was a banner of white with one red circle, in the center of which a black solid circle appeared.

This was the emblem Lucifer chose to represent his ideology of self assertion and unbridled liberty. He declared that God the creator was a lie fabricated by the celestial administration in an attempt to limit the development of the individual by the very trap we all must learn to not fall prey to: Unbridled liberty. 

53:4.1 The Lucifer manifesto was issued at the annual conclave of Satania on the sea of glass, in the presence of the assembled hosts of Jerusem, on the last day of the year, about two hundred thousand years ago, Urantia time. Satan proclaimed that worship could be accorded the universal forces — physical, intellectual, and spiritual — but that allegiance could be acknowledged only to the actual and present ruler, Lucifer, the “friend of men and angels” and the “God of liberty.”

The influences of rebellion still leave a mark on this planet. Everyday we are presented with the choice of self assertion or selfless service. According to the Urantia Book we on this planet are called to be Agondonters - those who believe without seeing. It takes a rare type of human to thrive on this rebellion seared planet, exactly the reason why we were given a revelation.
