How dangerous is your anger?  Join us for this week's edition of Donell Edwards: VIEWPOINTS as we discuss, Meeting the Challenges of Controlling Anger.  Our special guest is author and anger management expert, Bernard Golden, Ph.D.

As an experienced Clinical Psychologist, Bernard's book,  Overcoming Destructive Anger: Strategies That Work, and his work offer a unique approach to anger management that views anger as stemming from a desire for compassion.  He has been an anger management specialist for over forty-years, and has taught masters and doctoral students in Psychology.

We will be discussing what healthy anger is, and the purpose it serves; when to be concerned about anger; understanding the neuroscience of anger; understanding anger as based on a threat, real or perceived; negative feelings such as shame, fear, anxiety, guilt, powerlessness, or inadequacy; why we hold onto hurt and anger; and much more.

The key message Bernard wishes to emphasize is that by cultivating "healthy anger", we can learn to pause and respond, rather than react, to our anger.
