Human trafficking is a $32 billion-a-year industry, and is on the rise and is in all 50 states.  The organization, Ark of Hope for Children, estimates that up to 300,000 Americans under 18 are lured into the commercial sex trade every year.  According to the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, sexual exploitation is the most commonly identified form of human trafficking, ahead of forced labor.

Why does this happen? How does it happen? Who is responsible? Who is affected? What can be done to protect children, teenage girls, and other victims?  These are just some of the questions that we will answer on this very special program, The Ugly Business of Sex Trafficking In America: An Inside View.

Our special guest is Ms. Noel Gomez, who was coerced into becoming a prostitute when she was 16.  After 15 years and with lots of abuse, she was able to escape.

During this program we will discuss with Ms. Gomez her personal experiences as an underage prostitute, how she was able to stay motivated and survive, and her current advocacy work helping young men and women who have been sexually exploited.
